TAIAO Eligibility Rules: Corpus Christi United is a proud member of the 3rd largest sports league in Texas called TAIAO* (Texas Association of Independent Athletic Organizations). TAIAO eligibility rules require student athletes to be from Charter Schools, Private Schools and/or Homeschool Organizations, and not be over 18 years of age. TAIAO offers 16 varsity sports and 7 middle school sports with participation throughout the state of Texas.
Corpus Christi United, and its affiliate training company Watchmen Sports, LLC, remain focused on serving student athletes in the Coastal Bend area who attend private/charter schools, or are homeschooled and do not have access to athletics programs.
*Note: CC United Head Coach, Solomon O. Lopez, serves on the TAIAO Basketball Committee, and serves as the Social Media Manager for all of TAIAO.
Watchmen Sports, LLC, is a youth basketball training company dedicated to serving the underserved in the Corpus Christi/Coastal Bend area who attend private/charter schools, or are homeschooled.
Formed by Solomon O. Lopez (Corpus Christi United Head Basketball Coach) in the Spring of 2023, Watchmen Sports, LLC, strives to be the best option for student athletes who do not have access to athletics programs. Watchmen Sports, LLC currently manages all business/financial affairs for Corpus Christi United, and manages social media for TAIAO.

Dinero Mercurius Basketball Training
Watchmen Sports, LLC has partnered with Dinero Mercurius, who is one of the top basketball trainers in the Corpus Christi area. Dinero has helped our Watchmen United team members grow leaps and bounds since we began training in February 2024. Dinero's basketball training company specializes in skill development.
